These images come from The Animals’ Ball, Elise Bake, 1891

I’ve long been a fan of the pen and ink illustrations drawn by Leonard Leslie Brooke (1862-1940).  He was an author and illustrator from England who illustrated children’s books such as Johny Crow’s Garden and Andrew Lang’s Nursery Rhyme Book.  Here are a few random examples that didn’t fit in my Brush Sets.  As these are black and white line drawings, they can easily be added to your Adobe Photoshop brushes too!

This black and white illustration of Monkey and Wolf comes from the Public Domain book, The Child’s Reader- Third Reader by H Browne et al (Project Gutenberg #15170). It can also be used to make a stamp or Adobe Photoshop Brush.

Additionally, I’ve made some square user icons / avatars from the wolf in this image.  They are in 100 pixel and 250 pixel squares….

This black and white illustration of Rabbit and Wolf comes from the Public Domain book, The Child’s Reader- Third Reader by H Browne et al (Project Gutenberg #15170). It can also be used to make a stamp or Adobe Photoshop Brush.

Available in: 1500 x 1200 pixels & 800 x 640 pixels & 200 x 150 pixels

This illustration of Brother Rabbit and the Tar Wolf comes from the Public Domain book, The Child’s Reader- Third Reader by H Browne et al (Project Gutenberg #15170).  Described as a Native American legend, it is interesting to examine the similarities and differences between a version such as this and that of Br’er Rabbit and the Tar Baby in Uncle Remus: his Songs and Sayings (Project Gutenburg #2306) which inspired Disney’s Song of the South.

I have also made a black and white image of the rabbit which can be used as a stamp or photoshop brush.
