From Rabbits, Cats and Cavies: Descriptive Sketches of All Recognised Exhibition Varieties with Many Original Anecdotes by Charles Henry Lane and Rosa Bebb (1903).

This illustration of Brother Rabbit and the Tar Wolf comes from the Public Domain book, The Child’s Reader- Third Reader by H Browne et al (Project Gutenberg #15170).  Described as a Native American legend, it is interesting to examine the similarities and differences between a version such as this and that of Br’er Rabbit and the Tar Baby in Uncle Remus: his Songs and Sayings (Project Gutenburg #2306) which inspired Disney’s Song of the South.

I have also made a black and white image of the rabbit which can be used as a stamp or photoshop brush.
